On December 13, the municipality of El Tanque dressed up to receive the reopening of its emblematic Mirador Lomo Molino. El Mortero takes over the management of this space that for its now owners, Alejandro and Yolanda, has a special meaning: Lomo Molino was the place where Alejandro Luis began his professional career 24 years ago and where he met Yolanda Rodríguez, who at that time was his student, since HECANSA had its School Restaurant here and Alejandro was part of the project.
Last night there was a very special day, in which hundreds of people were able to enjoy the new facilities of the viewpoint, and where the hand of the El Mortero Restoration and Consulting company could be felt in each of the details: both in the new style of the establishment as well as in the dishes served. They have given a twist to the decoration, now minimalist, homely and warm at the same time, and have managed to make it “breathe” in a municipality unknown to many.
Yolanda Rodríguez and Alejandro Luis present a very curious, tasty and adapted restaurant menu that they have called Respira. Breathe the Tank!
Leg of lamb in its juice, Prawn salad, Salmon in lemon sauce or the Yoli dessert Carousel are part of the gastronomic offer with which they tempt us to return again and again to this beautiful place.
The Mirador Lomo Molino is ideal to enjoy a quiet breakfast, have a now trendy brunch, or live the “look and breathe” experience, an area of the restaurant from which you can see The Teideperfect for having an ice cream, coffee or getting lost in some reading time.
Last night, its chef-owners Alejandro and Yolanda expressed with their eyes all the excitement they felt about returning to their beginnings, which was the beginning of a long journey that has led them to consolidate a brand already recognized and endorsed by each of them. their clients such as El Mortero Restoration and Consulting, which includes the El Mortero restaurant in Icod de los Vinos, and the wedding consulting service in which they have specialized, already being a benchmark in Canary Islands for the quality and curious details with which they surprise in each of the weddings and events they organize.
As they said excitedly: “Here we want to finish our work project one day so we can enjoy our motorhome and travel, remembering all the wonderful moments that that first step that we decided to take many years ago in this same place has given us.”
They greatly appreciate the good reception they have had from the Municipality, and they hope to have many visits and for people to “breathe” at their side with the same joy and enthusiasm that they have put into this new opening.
The Mirador Lomo Molino is on Calle El Granero s/n, in the municipality of El Tanque and is open from Tuesday to Saturday.
