Mar’a will be the musical group in charge of starring in the last of the concerts of the 2023 edition of the Laguna Effect cycle. This interdisciplinary project will seek to generate a show marked by the celebration of joy and friendship that so characterizes its components. During the concert, they will mix different rhythms from around the world and a wide range of traditional instruments from the Canary Islands and other countries.

Pumice: The He-Hee point

The last show of Piedra Pómez, The He-Hee point, arrives at the Teatro Leal to celebrate its 36 years in business. In this novel proposal, the humorous tandem introduces us to Marulas Lalerdas, a teacher who claims to have discovered the Je-Je point by chance during her stay on the Buki-Buki Islands.
Los Sabandeños Christmas Concert

The group with almost 60 years of experience will give a Christmas concert in the company of the Tenerife singer and songwriter Isabel González. Together they will tackle a repertoire of tradition, folklore and boleros.

The boy from Elche

The singer from Alicante will mix jazz and electronics in a concert that will be marked by performance and audiovisual elements. The show includes the themes of his thirteenth album, “Flamenco, mausoleum of celebration, love and death”, based on classic flamenco texts and songs that he has radicalized and made extemporaneous.
Christmas Concert by the La Fe Symphonic Band

Saturday morning will be enlivened by the music of the La Fe Symphonic Band. In addition, in this same location, from 12:00 p.m. letters will be collected for Father and Mother Christmas.
Ianire Madariaga and Begoña Grande: Fissure

Fissure is a visual poem by Ianire Madariaga and Begoña Grande that is based on the text The fissure enters through the hands by Patricia Figuero. The artists will take on the role of two women who try to escape from a non-place and who wonder what normality is and where it is.

What a culture!

The initiative What a culture! once again fills the streets of the municipality with games, theater and workshops with a new special edition for Christmas. Its program is designed with the objective of transferring children’s cultural activities to all the neighborhoods of La Laguna.
Paula Quintana: Vegetable patch

The performer Paula Quintana stars in the latest installment of the 2023 edition of the Danza en Breve cycle. She brings with her an artistic work in which what is known as occult sciences and physical and organic experience coexist. Through a fabled and mythical narrative, she will try to build a global, poetic, critical and transformative artistic universe on stage.
Achamán Group

On Sunday at 8:00 p.m., the Achamán group will give a concert to celebrate Christmas with tradition. What is considered one of the best folklore groups in the Canary Islands, will offer a show for all audiences.
Christmas Concert by the San Sebastián de Tejina Cultural Group

The San Sebastián de Tejina Cultural Group has an appointment in the Plaza de la Iglesia at 7:00 p.m. Maintaining their deep-rooted traditions, they will give a free concert to celebrate the arrival of Christmas.
Canary Islands Gospel Festival: Brigitte Emaga

The Canary Islands Gospel Festival brings the talent of the singer and actress Brigitte Emaga to the La Laguna public. In a concert accompanied by Pablo González’s piano and with free admission until capacity is reached, the Barcelona artist will perform a repertoire influenced by Fela Kuti, Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Erykah Badu and Lauryn Hill.

The musical based on the novel by María Dueñas lands on Wednesday, December 20 at the Teatro Leal. Acclaimed by critics, it is a blockbuster that has its own author as an advisor within the creative team of the work. Promoted in 2021 by Beon Entertainment, it is directed by Argentine Federico Barrios, who has been at the helm of other films such as West Side Story, Cabaret either Nine.
