SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 12. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Canarian Institute of Hemodonation and Hemotherapy (ICHH), dependent on the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, has issued an urgent notice to the population to come and donate blood these days, given the decrease in stock levels of the groups A + and O+ at the Canary Transfusion Center.
The ICHH has already implemented the usual appropriate corrective measures, addressing blood donors from these groups registered in its databases via SMS and reinforcing mass notices through its social networks.
In the Canary Islands, 300 blood donations are needed daily to attend to both scheduled activity and emergencies in hospital centers. The ICHH reminds that it is not necessary to make an appointment to go and donate.
