The Governing Board of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council yesterday approved the Public Employment Offer (OEP) of 2023, which will include 127 vacant positions to be filled at different levels, both for the Local Police force and for labor personnel, career civil servants, internal promotion or positions for the reduction of temporary employment.
The mayor of the capital, José Manuel Bermúdez, highlighted that “the agreement represents the conclusion of several sessions of the General Personnel Board of the City Council with the different union organizations and, in addition, represents a very important public employment offer from this municipal Corporation, the most numerous in recent years.” For her part, the Councilor for Human Resources, Purificación Dávila, added that “the wide offer of municipal employment is due to an excellent willingness on the part of the unions and the administration itself, a negotiation that makes clear the will to reach agreements.” , with a solid offer approved unanimously.”
With this OEP it will be possible to alleviate the staffing deficit that affects municipal departments, after a total of 35 employees stop providing service in 2022, plus two reinstatements. In this sense, of the positions to be offered, 42 correspond to the Local Police – career civil servants (24 positions), plus nine for internal promotion and nine for labor personnel for said body – which will be added to another 85 specific rate for reduction of temporality in other departments -, 34 for career officials in the general administration and 42 in the special one (free shift) and eight for labor personnel -, in addition to a quota reservation of 7% of the vacancies for people with disabilities.
The Governing Board also approved the multi-year financing plan of the OEP in the 2023 General State Budgets, in order to guarantee these incorporations.
