The Santa Cruz City Council, through the Infrastructure area, reported that after the celebration of Three Kings’ Day, in the first half of January, it is expected that the works that will allow the residents of Anaga to have a second bridge will be completed. that guarantees the connectivity of the massif with San Andrés.

According to Councilor Javier Rivero, “in 2021 the difficulties suffered by the residents of the Anaga massif in terms of mobility became evident, which is why the mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, committed to seeking the possibility of a second road access that will guarantee the connectivity of this part of the municipality.”

The work began last June and will end with just over 15 days more than the six months planned for its execution, an action that has involved the investment of 411,930 euros, by the winning company Probisa Vías y Obras . “When problems were detected in the structure of the El Cercado bridge – recalls Rivero – in 2021, we reacted quickly to provisionally install a military bridge, in collaboration with the Canary Islands Command.”
