A 37-year-old man has been seriously injured after suffering a fall in Tenerife. He had a serious back injury and was transported in a medical ambulance to the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital.
The accident occurred in the take-off area in Taucho, municipality of Adeje around 1:14 p.m., when the Emergency and Safety Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands was alerted.
1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. A GES helicopter located the injured man and, after immobilizing him, transferred him to the Tenerife North Airport.
There, a medical ambulance from the SUC was waiting for him, whose personnel assisted the affected person and evacuated him to the aforementioned hospital. Firefighters collaborated with the GES in rescuing the injured man.
