Canary Islands Gospel Festival: The Soul of Gospel

The Canary Islands Gospel festival once again features the Stellar Awards nominated singer Joshua Nelson. With his new production ‘The Soul of Gospel’, he promises to move and entertain both the Canarian public and visitors. His repertoire for the events at the Leal Theater in La Laguna will include several songs by the artist Mahalia Jackson, whom he regularly pays tribute to at her concerts, as well as other great hits of more traditional gospel.

Keke Pérez: The thousand and something

Lanzarote native Kike Pérez will ask himself on the stages of the Teatro Leal ‘Is it the Thousand?’. According to his calculations, before the end of the year he should reach this round number of shows, a number that seems unthinkable to the comedian, but he does not know exactly when it will happen. In this new show full of anecdotes and wit, Pérez has decided to turn this mathematical error into a virtue in order to continue celebrating this milestone in his career.

Bolero Soul: Classic

The Canarian trio Alma de Bolero, composed of Jason Arbelo, Josué Neris and Pancho Delgado, brings their new proposal to the La Laguna cultural space in which they review their personal sound. In the company of the melody of violins and cellos they will make the interested public enjoy a classic repertoire of well-known ballads and boleros such as ‘El Mundo’, ‘Camino Verde’, ¡Échame a mí la culpa!’, ‘Santa Lucía’, ‘No you love me so much’, ‘It’s you’ and ‘Tell me when, when, when…’

The ‘What a Culture!’ initiative once again fills the streets of the municipality with games, theater and workshops with a new special edition for Christmas. Its program is designed with the objective of transferring children’s cultural activities to all the neighborhoods of La Laguna.

Bibiana Monje: ‘PoOm’

Bibiana Monje’s new show ‘PoOm’ addresses childhood trauma from a biological point of view. On stage, and through a multidisciplinary solo, the artist will invite the public to reflect on childhood wounds and the darkest and most broken parts of her body.

Sun Dance Family

‘Sun Dance Family Sessions’ invites children and adults to enjoy a day of dance and fun focused on all members of the family. This initiative, organized by the Living Arts and Citizenship Laboratory of Tenerife and the collective for the dissemination of contemporary electronic music Neeve-Micromusic, seeks to help families learn to take care of themselves and improve their health through movement.

Mikecrack and the Secret Superweapon

DATE: December 10

TIME: 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The Leal Theater offers two sessions of ‘Mikecrack and the Secret Superweapon’, the show by YouTuber Miguel Bernal. This introduces us to Mike, who will live an adventure full of surprises and songs to recover his voice.

Mama Noelia

Actress Antonia San Juan brings us “Mamá Noelia”, a show that reminds us of the role of women in society. San Juan puts himself in the shoes of the spine of the Noel family to bring us closer to a wife, mother and businesswoman who is tired of her efforts not being recognized and that she must face an endless list of tasks. In the company of Yeyo Bayeyo and Santi Almeida, this work with a critical and feminist spirit arrives at the Leal.

Opening of the XLIV City of La Laguna Choral Meeting

The cultural associations of the municipality celebrate their 44th edition of the Ciudad de La Laguna Choral Meeting with a program full of concerts, talks and workshops. Its objective is to continue spreading choral art with national and international groups.
