A man with symptoms of drowning rescued in Tenerife



A 73-year-old man has been rescued from the sea in the south of Tenerife with symptoms of drowning and has been transferred to a hospital in critical condition after emergency services managed to regain his pulse.

The 112 Emergency Coordination Center has reported that the man was rescued by lifeguards on Ajabo beach, in Adeje, around 10:47 a.m.

The staff from the Canary Islands Emergency Service who attended the scene performed basic and advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers on him and managed to regain his pulse.

Once stabilized, he was transferred in critical condition by medical ambulance to the Hospiten Sur University Hospital.
