The University of La Laguna (ULL) has opened a disciplinary file and provisionally suspended the teaching work of Miguel Cabrera Pérez-Camacho at the Faculty of Law for six months after opening a judicial investigation following a complaint from a student for an alleged sexual assault, ‘El Día’ reports and sources from the institution have confirmed to Europa Press.

The file was opened on Thursday afternoon and the ULL has appointed an instructor to examine the case and make a final decision given that although the events did not occur in its facilities, they fall within the framework of possible violations in the teacher-teacher relationship. student.

Cabrera Pérez-Camacho, former regional representative and current president of the Tenerife Casino, already gave a statement this Wednesday before the Investigative Court number 1 of La Laguna and upon leaving he again insisted before the media that the complaint is “false” and It has been organized by a lawyer whom he fired from his firm “out of revenge.”

The events allegedly occurred in his home in the municipality of Tacoronte on October 17 when the victim, who is studying a master’s degree in Law, went to the property to sign an internship agreement with Pérez-Camacho’s company and hours later filed a complaint before the Civil Guard.
