The Cabildo of Tenerife, through the Employment and Education area, launches the ‘XII National Photography Contest Tenerife Fashion 2024’ whose deadline for submitting works will end on April 30, 2024.
The Minister of Employment and Education, Efraín Medina; The manager of the insular Crafts company, Ricardo Cologán, and the director of Tenerife Moda, Natanael Padrón, presented this Thursday the new edition, which on this occasion has ‘Fashion and makeup’ as its theme.
In addition, the winners of the last two editions, Javier Durán and Victoria Andreina, respectively, were present at the event.
Efraín Medina pointed out that “the objective is to promote and create synergies in the fashion and photography sectors, since they are areas that promote economic development and job creation.”
In his opinion, “we are happy to recover the national character of the contest and we expect a great participation.”
For his part, Ricardo Cologan indicated that “one of the aspects of Tenerife Moda’s new strategy is the search for talent and precisely this type of contest allows us to detect it.”
Natanael Padrón detailed the bases of the contest, which can be attended by individuals residing in Spain who are 18 years old at the time of submitting the application, both new and professional photographers, with the exception of those who have not been awarded first prize in previous editions. prior to the contest.

The ‘XII Tenerife Moda 2024 National Photography Contest’ includes three prizes.
Thus, the winning photograph will receive a prize of 3,500 euros and a representative trophy, while the images that obtain the second and third prize will receive 2,500 and 1,500 euros, respectively, in addition to their corresponding trophy.
The works must be submitted to the offices of the Empresa Insular de Artesanía, in La Orotava, or sent by ordinary mail.
The works must be original and unpublished, they can be in black and white or color and must be accompanied by a title and description, as well as a pseudonym.
Each participant may submit a minimum of one photograph and a maximum of ten, always according to the theme of the contest: fashion and makeup.
The jury will take into account different aspects when evaluating the works presented, such as the coherence between the speech, the argument and the message of the photograph with the theme; creativity and originality in the approach of the image or the use of technical tools, among others.
