He Tenerife Council announces the XII National Stamp Photography Contest Tenerife Fashion with the theme in this edition under the heading Fashion and makeup. The area of Employment and Education launches the contest. The counselor, Efraín Medina; the manager of the insular Crafts company, Ricardo Cólogán; and the director of the Tenerife Moda brand, Natanael Padrón, yesterday presented the new edition with makeup as its axis. In addition, the winners of the last two editions, Javier Durán and Victoria Andreina, respectively, were also present at the event.
Efraín Medina points out that “the objective is to promote and create synergies between the fashion and photography sectors, closely linked, as areas that promote economic development and create employment.” He adds: “We are happy to recover the national character of the contest and we expect a great participation.”
For his part, Ricardo Cloguen emphasizes: “One of the aspects of Tenerife Moda’s new strategy is the search for talent and, precisely, these types of contests allow us to detect it.”
Natanael Padrón detailed the bases of the contest, which may be attended by individuals residing in Spain who are 18 years old at the time of submitting the application. It is open to both new and professional photographers, with the exception of those who have not been awarded first prize in previous editions of the contest. Conditions to present
The works in competition must be presented at the offices of the Empresa Insular de Artesanía, in La Orotava, or sent by ordinary mail. The works must be original and unpublished, they can be in black and white or color and must be accompanied by a title and a description, as well as a pseudonym of the author.
Each participant may submit a minimum of one photograph and a maximum of ten, as long as they are consistent with the theme of the contest. In the case of this edition, fashion and makeup.
The jury chosen for this purpose will take into account different aspects when evaluating the works presented, such as the coherence between the speech, the argument and the message of the photograph with the theme; creativity and originality in the approach of the image or the use of technical tools, among other factors.
