The president of the Emilio Moro wineriesattended as a speaker at a forum organized by the Torre del Mirador restaurant in Tenerife.
On Thursday the 30th, the Torre del Mirador, held its first exclusive event for businessmen in Tenerife in its own establishment. More than 30 prominent businessmen from the island attended, from different sectors of activity.
The guest at this forum, Javier Moro Espinosa, has been in the company since 1989, was the commercial director, and one of the main architects of the expansion of the brand, and since April 2022, he is the current president.
Javier Moro presented to the businessmen the expansion process that the company is carrying out in America and Asia, in addition to commenting on the current product portfolio, and the evolution of the restaurant sector in Spain.
The company is in a process of penetration into the territory of the United States, which, in the last year, has already reached 45 of the 50 states in the country, and has landed in Hawaii, New Mexico and Nebraska. They are focused on expanding their presence in the rest of America and Asia.
The expansion to other markets has been possible thanks to the commitment to a quality product resulting from work and investment in Castilla y Lion.
The company has opted for its presence in El Bierzo, which began in 2016, with an investment of more than 5 million euros in the construction of new facilities in Ponferrada, to promote DO Bierzo wines. The first godellos: El Zarzal and La Revelía, which joined Polvorete.
History of the wineries
The history of Emilio Moro wineries goes back four generations. The founder, Emilio Moro, was born in 1891 in Pesquera de Duero, a town in Valladolid where his son Emilio also came into the world in 1932. Working hard the vineyards on the banks of the Duero, they forged their passion vintage after vintage.
