SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 28 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo of Tenerife recovers the Technical Board of Culture, which met this Tuesday at the Tenerife Adán Martín Auditorium with the aim of promoting performing arts projects.
The Minister of Culture and Museums of Tenerife, José Carlos Acha, attended the meeting, along with the Councilors and Culture technicians of the municipalities of Tenerife.
Acha points out in a note that on this occasion work has been done specifically on performing arts issues to improve in this area, see the strategies that exist for the promotion of this industry in Tenerife and the island network of theaters.
“We intend to expand the promotion and knowledge of the performing arts among all programmers, and hopefully we can ensure that each theater can have a company, whether theater or dance, and we are also analyzing the bases for subsidies,” he commented.
Last September, the Cabildo recovered the Island Culture Table with the aim of promoting projects in the 31 municipalities of the island and at this meeting the general lines of Tenerife’s cultural policy were presented.
According to José Carlos Acha, the Island Culture Board “must be an element of transversal coordination that allows us to value the entire cultural policy of Tenerife; it is necessary to carry out joint work to develop this important activity on the island.”
