The mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, assessed yesterday that the 15th edition of La Noche en Blanco, held last Saturday, “was more than magical, everything contributed so that we could achieve the best edition in the history of this event.” .
Thus, throughout the 15 hours of activities that this edition had, “more than 120,000 people passed through our streets and squares to enjoy a day full of excitement, happy faces, reunions, top-level concerts, children’s activities, crafts, heritage, sports and a great atmosphere in the city.” A figure that represented “no less than 20,000 more people than in 2022,” he highlighted.
“The weather was with us, respecting the celebration of all our events; the behavior of the people displaced to our municipality, which was exemplary from the first hour; and the security device, the largest to date, which meant that no major incidents were recorded,” the mayor said in this regard.

Luis Yeray Gutiérrez also valued “seeing citizens walking through our streets with bags from our commercial area, a satisfaction that we share with businessmen and women who brought us yesterday [sábado] their joy for this great shopping day.” In this sense, he pointed out that the hospitality establishments also “recorded a great Saturday with full houses and an important economic injection for so many families who live and depend on this sector.”
And we must not forget that one of the objectives of La Noche en Blanco is to help energize small and medium-sized local businesses. In fact, in the latest edition of the City Council’s Commercial Bonds campaign that was recently presented, one of the novelties was that 4,000 bonds were allocated to La Noche en Blanco, which had the same price as the general ones (15 euros ) but they could be exchanged last Saturday exceptionally for 40 euros, instead of 30.
In short, from the La Laguna City Council “we cannot convey anything other than gratitude to all the people who have made this magnificent White Night possible, which will remain in the memory,” the mayor emphasized.
