The Councilor for the Sustainable City, David Hernández (ACP), has conveyed to the Ministry of Mobility, headed by Eulalia García, the demands of the people of Porto regarding public bus transport to improve mobility in the municipality of Puerto de la Cruz.
During the meeting, attended by technicians from both administrations, the results of the mobility survey that the City Council carried out in 2022 of the service offered by Titsa in the town were presented and from which a series of needs are evident in several Porto towns such as El Durazno, La Vera or El Taoro, which either lacked nearby stops or these were poorly located. Even that their situation put users in danger, either due to the location of the stop itself or the route to get to it.
In order to improve the service and encourage the use of public transport, the Sustainable City area presented this same study to the Titsa management in March, and managed to reactivate line 383, pending evaluation of other actions. proposals.
For David Hernández “it is important that citizens have public services that allow mobility in accordance with their needs and thus reduce the use of private vehicles.”
