A young man in his 20s has died. today Sunday by being hit by a car in the North Tenerife Highway (TF-5) as it passes through the municipality of Tacoronte, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The event occurred minutes before 07:00 in the morning, when the 1-1-2 operational room received an alert reporting that a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle at kilometer 17.4 of the TF -5, direction Santa Cruz, and that, as a result, another vehicle had been hit from behind.
The Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources to intervene in the area and a medicalized ambulance and another basic life support ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), agents from the Civil Guard and staff from the Cabildo Road Service went to the scene. from Tenerife.
Once there, the SUC health personnel confirmed the death of the young man as a result of the impact and the Civil Guard was in charge of instructing the corresponding procedures. For their part, the Highway Service personnel proceeded to clean the road.
