The White Night of La Laguna brings together more than 60,000 people

The fifteenth edition of White Night has brought together more than 60,000 people in its first section of programming, as the mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, has advanced, in a balancing act in which he highlighted the excellent response that the agenda of this daytime section has had. “The best news is that no notable incidents have been recorded and the behavior of the citizens displaced to the streets of La Laguna has been exemplary,” he added.

“The great atmosphere we experienced this Saturday has also been possible thanks to the work of the security device deployed in this fifteenth edition, which has been the largest of this event to date, and to the different work teams that have been distributed among the stages, stands and activity areas that make up this event,” added the first mayor.

Luis Yeray Gutiérrez highlighted, within the great atmosphere and the excellent reception that this edition has had, “the emotionality and unity that has characterized the institutional event of 25-N, which the colleagues from the Social Welfare and Social Welfare Area have prepared with so much love. Quality of Life, in collaboration with different associations and groups that work to eradicate this social scourge.”

The Councilor for Commerce of the La Laguna City Council, Leticia Villegas, highlighted the impact that these first hours of activity have had on the shops and restaurant establishments of the city, as reported by the different businessmen and women in the sector.

Villegas encouraged the island’s citizens to be part of this event with leisure and enjoy the great surprises that we have yet to experience in this Laguna Blanco Night, such as the multitude of musical performances that will take place until dawn.”

Music will increasingly take center stage at night, especially between 7:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m., thanks to three well-differentiated areas with big stars, within their musical style. The Popstar Stage, in the La Concepción area, will offer performances by Carlos Baute, Merche, Blas Cantó, K-Narias, Miriam Reyes, Neo Pinto and Nia Correia.

The Retro Stage, intended for lovers of eighties and nineties music and located in the Court parking lot, will witness concerts by Marta Sánchez, Eric Böelle, Barco a Venus (Tributo a Mecano), Los Coquillos and Puretas Party` s.

Finally, the Los40 Sostenibles Stage, in Plaza del Cristo, will give prominence to El Vega Life, Bombai, Mel Ömana, Renzo El Selector, J. Ramos, Dellacruz and Aridian.

Recognizable artists such as Marta Sánchez, Carlos Baute, Merche, Blas Cantó, Las K-Narias or El Vega Life will perform on these three stages. There will also be a large representation of Canarian talents in this musical section of LNB. Jazz lovers will also have their space in the Cipreses patio of the Cabrera Pinto Institute and outstanding performances such as those by Polo Ortí & TLPC Project or the Tribute to Bill Evans with José A.Medina.

Until 11:00 p.m., the mechanical attractions in Doctor Olivera Square, the superhero exhibition in the Casa de los Capitanes or the ice rink around La Catedral, among other proposals, will be available. The Gastro Plaza del Adelantado will also remain open, with food trucks and different food and drink stands.
