SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 25 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Autonomous Body for Festivals and Recreational Activities and Activities (OAFAR) of the City Council has begun to pay the Carnival groups the amounts intended for their participation in the next edition of the festivals.
This is the first of the two planned payments, within the municipal contribution for contracting. The payment is made together with the announcement of the 10% increase in the budget for group hiring for the 2025 Carnival.
A total of 64 groups will receive the amounts included in the budget dedicated to this chapter, leaving pending this first payment are those groups that have yet to complete the administrative requirements within the established deadlines.
During the last meeting held by the OAFAR governing council, it was agreed to notify the groups of this agreement. Through it, choreographic groups, troupes, rondallas, musical groups and murgas will receive a total of 254,419 euros.
The agreement signed between the City Council and each Carnival group establishes that the groups undertake to participate in the events held on the occasion of the festivities. The interventions of the carnival members must adjust to the program, place, date and time that appear set in the festive calendar.
In addition, the formations will be responsible for ensuring that their members act properly disguised and maintain correct behavior. The groups must also notify OAFAR of any modification they intend to make to the planned intervention program with a maximum period of two calendar days before the scheduled date for their performance.
For its part, the Agency undertakes to make payments in two installments. The first payment proposed as an advance has already been made, upon presentation of a duly completed invoice, which represents 50% of the contract. Finally, the second and last payment up to the contracted total will be made at the end of Carnival 2024.
