The Helimer Maritime Rescue helicopter has rescued two people who were in trouble on La Tejita beach, in Granadilla de Abona (Tenerife), as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of 112 of the Canary Islands.
The events occurred on Thursday afternoon when they were alerted that a woman was in trouble on the aforementioned beach and a man had jumped in to help her, which is why the Helimer helicopter was flown to the scene to carry out the rescue and evacuate the two people to the Tenerife South airport.
Once at the airport, the staff of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) attended to the young woman who, at the initial moment of assistance, presented symptoms of mild drowning, except for complications, for which she was transferred to the Hospiten University Hospital. South; while the man was unharmed.
Agents from the Local Police and the Civil Guard also appeared at the scene of the incident and collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources.
