Christmas in Santa Cruz for boys and girls
The capital’s City Council has organized a special program with more than 200 activities for all audiences (most of them free) in the five districts on the occasion of the Christmas and Three Kings holidays.
This year’s program includes an important novelty for the little ones in the house: on December 31, the Children’s New Year’s Eve will be celebrated in Plaza de la Candelaria. From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., boys and girls will be able to enjoy numerous activities.
Also noteworthy is the traditional portal of the Living Nativity Scene, which will be inaugurated on December 12 in the Plaza de La Candelaria, which on this occasion will have larger dimensions.
The Christmas offer in the capital will begin this Thursday with the lighting and will be followed by musical and sporting events, exhibitions and markets, until the expected arrival of the Kings at the Stadium and the subsequent Parade on January 5.
Family concerts, theater and exhibitions, as well as storytelling, children’s workshops and a visit from Santa Claus complete the calendar of scheduled activities. Folklore parties and musical groups performing Christmas carols will energize the streets of Santa Cruz during the upcoming Christmas holidays.
