SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 20 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Secretary of Organization of the PSOE Canary Islands, Nira Fierro, pointed out this Monday that “today is a good day for Canary Islands socialism and for the archipelago in general” with the appointment of Ángel Víctor Torres as Minister of the Government of Spain, stressing that ” “He is the right person” to lead the Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory portfolio.
For Fierro, Torres’ qualities as a public representative fit perfectly with the demands of this ministry, very focused on dialogue with all the autonomous communities.
“We know what his work tools are, consensus, words and dialogue, as he already demonstrated at the head of the Government of the Canary Islands. Therefore, he has the perfect keys for the cohesion and structuring of this country from the ministry that Starting this Tuesday it will be his turn to direct,” he commented in a note.
In his opinion, “he is the right person and from the PSOE we feel very proud of our general secretary.”
Fierro also had words of recognition for Héctor Gómez as outgoing Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism because “he has done excellent work and has our full recognition.”
