SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 18 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Tenerife has promoted the destination at the annual Signature Travel Network conference that took place in Las Vegas, being one of the most important events in the sector that has had the participation of members of the Signature agencies and suppliers.

In a statement, the Cabildo explained that it was a professional meeting attended by more than 2,500 professionals in the sector, of which 1,652 were travel agents and 846 participants were members of Signature, and where the island had the opportunity to give to introduce attendees to the wide range of offerings that make up the destination.

During the conference, Tenerife held a workshop on the island aimed at around 200 travel agents in a 30-minute presentation.

Likewise, and through the representation of Tenerife Tourism, one-to-three and one-to-one meetings have been held, where the destination was shown to more than 180 professionals from the tourism sector.

The Vice President and Tourism Councilor of the Cabildo, Lope Afonso, assures that “Tenerife has reinforced its presence in the United States in recent years through numerous promotional actions, in coordination with the tourist representative office in the United States, to give know the destination.”

For her part, the CEO of Tourism, Dimple Melwani, underlines the importance of Tenerife’s presence at an event such as Signature Travel Network, since “the North American market is experiencing notable growth in our destination, with very positive occupancy records in the summer months and, even more so, in the winter season, reflecting that Tenerife has become a reference place when planning your trips.

The Signature Travel Network program, which has brought together around 570 companies in the tourism industry from around the world, including the United States and Canada, related to the world of hotels, airlines and service providers, has been based on speed dating, with nearly 50,000 dates between all members and travel agents of the association.
