SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –

This Friday, the Cabildo of Tenerife reached an institutional agreement to promote rural tourism, highlighting the rural area of ​​Tenerife as a differentiating element of Tenerife as a tourist destination.

In this context, the island institution agreed to develop, within the Tenerife Tourism Advisory Council, a working group that promotes training and advisory actions for all actors in the rural tourism sector.

In this working group, the island ministries of the Natural Environment and Primary Sector will be present, as well as the municipal corporations, which will address the current problems of the sector from the point of view of regulatory, economic or any other difficulties, with the purpose to obtain the best levels of quality and profitability in the sector.

On the other hand, the agreement of the Cabildo includes continuing to develop the work carried out by the Tourism area in the field of rural tourism, and especially in what has to do with the promotion of the natural spaces of the island and its heritage and landscape values. and ethnographic, its local products and the different activities of active tourism and nature, includes a note from the corporation.

The Cabildo also agreed to urge the Government of the Canary Islands to implement tax incentives for rural tourism accommodation.
