The measure to activate new shuttles for university students and the reinforcements of the main bus lines in the company Titsa HE translates into the registration of almost 55,000 more passengers on the routes during the first week of its launch. This equals an increase of 8.3% in the number of travelers. He Tenerife Council makes a positive balance of these first influx data.
The Mobility Minister, Eulalia García explains that “in the first week we had 54,625 passengers, taking into account that Wednesday, the 1st, was a holiday, while the data for the second week of shuttles, with its five working days, add up to a total of 60,547 travelers. between that service and the reinforcements carried out on the Northern lines. This represents an increase of 4,658 passengers than in the previous week to have these resources, so since this measure was implemented the percentage of growth amounts to 8.33%.
It should be remembered that the reinforcement of the lines and shuttles is part of the package of twenty initial measures to improve and achieve sustainable mobility, among which are the lowering of the travel limit for free transportation from 15 to 10 trips.
The reinforcements and new shuttles came into operation last October. In this sense, the line ULL 606 connects the Icod de los Vinos Station with the Guajara Campus Lecture Hall, with stops in different Icod neighborhoods, Los Realejos and La Orotava. This route departs at 6:30 and returns from Guajara at 2:45 p.m.
The ULL 608 goes from Los Realejos to the Aulario de Guajara with stops at points in the north. The departure from the Mencey Bencomo square is at 6:50 and returns from the Campus at 2:45 p.m. Both shuttles share a stop at the Los Realejos Junction.
Titsa adds new trips in both directions to line 100 (Puerto de la Cruz, via the Botánico-Intercambiador), as is the case with lines 102 and 103. Line 106 (Icod-Santa Cruz direct) changes its schedules to have more combined offer with 108 (Icod-Santa Cruz).
In the southern zone, Titsa also strengthens services on lines 447 (Los Cristianos- Costa Adeje- Adeje), 470 (El Médano-Los Cristianos), 473 (Los Cristianos-Los Gigantes) and 483 (Los Cristiano-Los Gigantes), that add trips and change schedules.
The night line 420 (Los Cristianos-Valle San Lorenzo) is integrated into the 418, allowing passengers to travel between the Costa Adeje Station and Valle San Lorenzo during the day and reinforcing the Los Cristianos-Valle connection at night with more trips.
