Jonathan Dominguezspokesperson for the Canarian Coalition in the La Laguna City Council, has announced his resignation as councilor. Domínguez leaves his position to assume the position of deputy councilor in the Government of the Canary Islands, facilitating a PSOE-CC agreement in the La Laguna City Council.

The letter, to which Europa Press has had access, reflects Domínguez’s gratitude for his 16 years in the political field. She highlights the lessons learned and bonds forged during her time at the corporation, describing it as an enriching experience in both knowledge and personal relationships.

Domínguez expresses his regret for leaving his position on the City Council, recognizing his passion for working for La Laguna and its inhabitants. Despite this, he understands the importance of evolving in his career and contributing where he feels most useful, in this case, in the Government of the Canary Islands.

In his farewell, Domínguez emphasizes his gratitude to all those who contribute to the operation of the La Laguna City Council. He affirms his continued commitment to improving citizen life and expresses his hope for future encounters and collaborations in his new role.

Finally, Domínguez’s departure from the City Council boosts negotiations between the PSOE and CC to form a government pact in the municipality. This agreement would ensure an absolute majority with a total of 18 councilors, in line with the investiture pact between socialists and nationalists.
