CB Puerto del Carmen falls in Tenerife after a week to forget

CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen He already knows the taste of defeat this season after falling to Tenerife Municipal Health District against Santa Cruz de Tenerife Handball (34-25) in a match corresponding to the eighth day of group A of the Women’s Silver Honor Division.

Juanmi Pérez’s team arrived in Tenerife with strange feelings and without the Paraguayan internationals, Fernanda Luján Insfrán and Delyne Leiva. And the team paid for the fog that prevailed in some offices.

The Tenerife team, despite having a limited squad, only nine players played, they took the lead on the scoreboard after ten minutes of the game, reaching the break with a certain placidity (17-12). They would no longer give up the advantage. The tiñoseras tried it but it is complicated when the head goes on one side and the legs on the other.

Paula Martín was the local team’s top scorer with twelve goals. Among the Aurinegras there are up to three players with six goals each, Atteneri Morales, Mónica Cabrera and Carla Rodríguez.

With this defeat, CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen loses the lead and is second after Carballal, with fourteen points, seven wins and this week’s defeat.

The coach from Tiños, Juanmi Pérez, stated that with the week we have had we have come to the game with too many issues around us, we have fought until the end, we have tried but nothing could be done because our heads were somewhere else. We started both teams with six zero, they had few changes but with a good team, with all positions well covered. Nothing was coming out for us, we were out of ideas and missing quite a few shots, they were superior from the beginning. Week and game to forget, let’s hope that next week we will be better but we leave quite hurt because I don’t think we will not be able to compete as we know how,” concludes the Aurinegro coach.

On the next day, Saturday, November 18, at 7:00 p.m., Canary Islands time, the Tiños team visits the field of Oliveira & Faro Saeplast Cañiza, a team that arrives at that match after tying at 21 in its visit to Porriño , last classified. Cañiza is eleventh with four points and having so far achieved one victory, two draws and five defeats.
