A 65-year-old man died today, Sunday, after suffering a drowning in Playa Jardín, in the municipality of Puerto de la Cruz, in Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The event occurred around 1:00 p.m., when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert informing that a person with signs of drowning had been pulled out of the water and that Beach Rescue personnel were trying to revive him, since he had entered in cardiorespiratory arrest.
Upon arriving at the scene, the SUC personnel verified that the affected person was still in cardiorespiratory arrest, despite the resuscitation maneuvers applied by the lifeguards, and began to apply advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers without success, so death was finally confirmed. of the affected person.
The National Police took charge of the body until the arrival of the Judicial Authority and the Local Police collaborated with the emergency services.
