The Irish airline Ryanair opened its winter base at the airport this Friday Tenerife South with three planesan investment of 300 million and the opening of three new routes to Budapest, Knock and Eindhoven. In total, the winter schedule includes 47 routes and increased frequencies on more than 30 routes to cities such as Dublin, Manchester, Naples and London. To meet this schedule and boost its operations, Ryanair has added an extra plane for a total of three on the island and celebrates the arrival of 25 million passengers at the airport since the beginning of its operations in 2007.
The company anticipates that more than 2,300 jobs will be created in the region and that traffic will grow to three million passengers annually in fiscal year 2024.
