The counselor, who responded in plenary session of Parliament to a question from the PP about the main objectives to be achieved with the draft forestry law of the Canary Islands, clarified that this regulation will take into account “something so demanded by citizens“as is the harvesting of pine needles.
He has pointed out that The Canary Islands are one of the few communities that in 20 years have not developed the national forest lawso for this Government it is an objective to approve its own regulations in this sense.
The PP deputy Noemí Díaz has insisted on the importance of developing a regulatory framework to guarantee the conservation and protection of mountains and its use.
Likewise, he has advocated addressing a historic request from the primary sector, such as use that can be given to pine needles.
