The NGO San Miguel Addictionswill present next Thursday, November 9, within the framework of the IX edition of Sinapsis, the conference organized together with the University of La Laguna and the General Directorate of Mental Health and Addictions, NYMPHan app that will allow you to accompany a person with addictions and address, in a much more direct way, their mental health and their high tendency to suicide.
The application, which can be downloaded in the coming weeks, will also act as a support tool for the user that will allow the San Miguel Adicciones therapeutic teams to offer much more effective help.
“This is an App aimed at this population because addictions are closely linked to suicide, including them within the high-risk group,” the Association explains.
NYMPH will have a tab open to the entire population in which you will upload information of interest to understand the link between addictions and suicide and thus help not only the person seeking treatment, but also their close environment to understand how to act more effectively and quickly.
In addition, NYMPH will have a Limited access area for users of San Miguel Adicciones and they will have access to therapeutic material, medical prescriptions, chat with disciplines of the association such as psychology, social work or administration and even a calendar in which users will be able to manage their appointments in a much faster and easier way.
“With all this, we will be able to provide a closer and more personalized treatment that helps reduce the risk.”
Taking as a premise that suicidal behavior arises as a result of suffering, NYMPH was born to change the end of this reality for one that allows all people choose life.
