The Santiago del Teide City Council has launched the 2023-2024 Social Employment Program (PES) called “Santiago del Teide for the Promotion of Employment”, through which 26 unemployed people in the municipality have begun to work and provide public service to improve the services offered by the council during the next 6 months.
Different members of the government group were present at its presentation, welcoming the new workers and explaining the first details of their incorporation.
This project is financed by the Santiago del Teide City Council, the Canarian Employment Service through the PIEC FUNDS and the Government of the Canary Islands, and its participants will be distributed in different municipal areas such as administration, works and services, culture, services social, etc.
The professional categories of the 26 people are the following: 1 foreman, 3 agricultural laborers, 3 gardening laborers, 2 bricklayers, 7 construction laborers, 1 electrician, 1 leisure time monitor, 1 playroom worker, 5 administrative workers and 2 assistants. home.
Within the policies developed in the local administration, this new agreement aims to provide opportunities for job placement, especially for long-term unemployed people, thus promoting job opportunities for the inhabitants of the municipality.
