SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The General Corps of the Canarian Police, dependent on the Department of Public Administrations, Justice and Security, has intervened in the situation of five minors immersed in open protection procedures, in the municipality of Breña Baja, in La Palma.
The intervention was carried out by the Juvenile Group of the Judicial Police Office, based in Tenerife, at the request of the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
These are minors between the ages of two and 12, who were intervened last Thursday and Friday, November 2 and 3, in three different family units as they were immersed in protection procedures opened by the Prosecutor’s Office.
They have all been housed in different protection centers dependent on the Cabildo de la Palma, after mediating with the families to guarantee the well-being of the minors and the least impact at all times.
The members of the General Corps of the Canarian Police deployed to La Palma highlight the coordination with the different social actors involved such as Social Services, the La Palma City Council, Local Police, health center and the Prosecutor’s Office.
