SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, will chair this Wednesday the XXVIII Conference of Presidents of the Outermost Regions of the European Union, CPRUP, which will take place at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Government of Santa Cruz de Tenerife until Thursday and in which the Canary Islands will hand over the presidency to La Reunión.
The day, organized by the General Directorate of European Affairs of the Government of the Canary Islands, will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the intervention of the Canary Islands president, who is also president of the Outermost Regions, while the activity report will later be presented.
The conference will continue with the interventions of the presidents of the ORs, the exchange session on the Final Declaration of the XXVIII Conference of Presidents and the meeting of the association of the presidents of Madeira, Azores, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique, La Réunion, Mayotte, Saint Martin and the Canary Islands.
The Conference of RUP Presidents will resume on Thursday with the intervention of the President of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, and the representatives of the Member States of the nine outermost regions and the European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira, will also intervene.
Likewise, during Thursday’s session the Canarian president will transfer the CPRUP presidency to the president of La Reunión.
