The Salvamar Menkalinan this Tuesday rescued 35 immigrants of sub-Saharan origin who were traveling in a canoe 3 kilometers from the port of Los Cristianos, in Tenerifewhere they have been disembarked, Maritime Rescue sources have informed EFE.
The immigrants, 32 adult men and 3 minors, are in apparently good health, sources have indicated.
The rescue occurred at 8:55 a.m., after the Maritime Rescue Center was warned by the Civil Guard that an echo of a possible boat had been detected on the radar of the SIVE coastal surveillance system, southwest of Punta Rasca.
According to sources, half an hour later, at 9:22 a.m., the Salvamar arrived at the port of Tenerifewhere the immigrants disembarked.
