The General Directorate of Emergencies has declared the rain alert that can be persistent in municipalities affected by the forest fire in Tenerifegiven the risk that ash, sediment and soil may be carried away, as well as landslides.

The alert declaration will come into force from 7:00 p.m. this Sunday and affects the municipalities of El Rosario, Tacoronte, El Sauzal, La Matanza de Acentejo, La Victoria de Acentejo, Santa Úrsula, La Orotava and Los Realejos The regional General Directorate of Emergencies has reported.

He adds that the meteorological prediction indicates that in this area there will be precipitation in the form of weak or locally moderate rain, probably persistent in the midlands during the early morning and early morning hours of this Monday.
