SAN SEBASTIÁN DE LA GOMERA, Nov. 4 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The spokesperson for the parliamentary group of the Gomera Socialist Group (ASG), Casimiro Curbelo, has seen the need for state regulations as “urgent” to establish the criteria for redistribution and reception of migrants arriving in the Canary Islands.
This was reported by the party in a statement in which it added that the Gomeran will question the autonomous Government in the plenary session of the Parliament of the Canary Islands to promote said regulations.
“This is,” he said, “a formula to channel the pressure on assistance and attention that the islands are currently suffering, “with services overwhelmed by the arrival of more than 15,000 migrants during the month of October.”
In this sense, Curbelo appealed to solidarity and the establishment of common criteria to guarantee equity between the autonomies.
