The Vox councilor in the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, Juan Manuel Hermoso Antolín, achieved on October 27, unanimously by the municipal plenary session, the approval of a motion in which the Local Police are urged to limit speed of traffic – through radar or donkey backs – on San Sebastián Avenue.
A situation, derived from the dense traffic on this road, which is generating the appearance of cracks in buildings and commercial premises in recent months, stated the mayor.
Antolín explained that “more than 100 buses circulate daily along the avenue, in addition to cars, trucks and motorcycles, a density that produces vibrations in the road, increased by the speed when traveling, and which harms the buildings in the area.”
The plenary session has agreed to carry out a mobility study in the area to limit the speed to 30 kilometers per hour.
