The municipality of Santiago del Teide has presented this Thursday, November 2, its new promotional tourist material that will take, first of all, to the London tourism fair, World Travel Market, which will take place from November 6 to 8. Mayor Emilio Navarro and the Councilor for Tourism, Luz Goretti Gorrín, were present at the presentation of the new material, and the Tourism Councilor of the Cabildo, Lope Afonso, was also present.
This new promotional material is integrated into the strategy presented last year called “Sustainability in Destination”. In this way, one more step is taken to turn Santiago del Teide into an inclusive municipality, making a firm commitment to reducing inequalities and improving accessibility in activities that can be carried out both in the maritime environment and in the protected natural spaces of the destination. All of this in collaboration with companies that already offer experiences adapted to different types of disabilities.
With this new campaign, what we want to promote is that Santiago del Teide is a destination for everyone, inclusive and prepared to offer adapted activities and meet this increasing demand at a regional, national and international level.
Finally, it should be noted that the city council is working together with whale watching companies to make Santiago del Teide the only municipality in Europe to offer whale watching adapted to the 4 existing types of disabilities, which will make us a benchmark. in this type of activities and will position us internationally.
