SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 2 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A cayuco with 138 migrants on board, all of sub-Saharan origin, arrived this Thursday at the port of Los Cristianos, in the south of Tenerife, Maritime Rescue sources inform Europa Press.
The rescue device began on Wednesday afternoon when the boat was detected by a Civil Guard plane, and Helimer 205 and the Mizar and Alpheratz boats were activated from Maritime Rescue.
The latter was the one who accompanied the canoe safely to the port and 47 women and nine minors were sailing on the boat.
This is the second canoe that arrived on the coast of the archipelago this Thursday after another one was registered in the port of La Restinga (El Hierro) with 49 men of sub-Saharan origin.
