What will the weather be like in the Canary Islands this Thursday?

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) announces for this Thursday slightly cloudy skies in general, except in the north of the islands and in the most eastern ones where cloudy skies will predominate with some precipitation, decreasing temperatures and moderate northeast wind.

The wind will be more intense on the northwest and southeast slopes of the islands, which may occasionally be strong in those areas in Tenerife and Gran Canaria.

As for the state of the sea, it predicts a northeast wind of force 4 or 5, which will increase locally to 6 in Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzaroteswell or swell and locally increasing to strong swell, and variable strength 1 to 3 and 2 to 4, with rough sea, swell or swell.

There will be northwest swells with waves of 1 to 2 meters and occasional early morning rain on the eastern islands.

GRAN CANARIA

Lightly cloudy skies in general, except on the northern slope, which will be cloudy and with little probability of some light rain during the early morning and early hours of the day. Temperatures in slight decline. Moderate wind from the northeast with strong intervals in extreme east and west, and predominance of the breeze regime on southwest coasts.

LANZAROTE

In general, cloudy skies, except during the day, which will be slightly cloudy. Probability of light rain in the early morning and early hours of the day, mainly affecting the northwest slope and occasionally. Temperatures without changes or with a slight decrease in maximum temperatures. Light wind from the northeast that will increase to moderate from the morning.

In central summits, moderate in the north.
