Iberdrola receives authorizations to build two wind farms in Granadilla de Abona and Arico, with an investment of 54 million euros. They join the Llanos Pelaos III photovoltaic plant, in Fuerteventura, their first photovoltaic plant Canary Islands which has 7 MW and will allow supply clean energy to more than 4,000 homes.
The Tarajales wind farm, in Granadilla de Abona, received its administrative authorization and will have a power of 10.4 megawatts (MW). With its production, it will achieve enough energy to supply more than 7,000 homes and avoid the emission of 13,000 tons of CO2 per year. During its construction, 35 people will be employed and the project will involve an investment of 21 million euros. For its execution, national suppliers have been hired and 50% of the partners are local, according to the company.
