SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 31 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Governing Council has given the green light to the process to approve the budgets of the Cabildo de Tenerife, which increase with respect to 2023, in their entirety, by 8%, while social actions increase by 11% and the economic ones by 4%. The budget will be presented this Friday by the president and vice president of the Cabildo, Rosa Dávila and Lope Afonso.
The general lines are marked by various uncertainties derived from wars, inflation and rising interest rates, in the face of a paralyzed Spanish State with an extended budget and the expectation that fiscal rules will be applied or not.
With this scenario, the Cabildo Government team has prioritized that the money reaches the people, at the same time that it once again places Tenerife in the position of socioeconomic leadership that it deserves.
As the president of the Cabildo, Rosa Dávila, has advanced, “our commitment is that on January 1, 2024, Tenerife has budgets that allow us to satisfy the needs of Tenerife residents focused on social demands, recovering areas damaged by the fire, boost all economic sectors, with the consequent generation of employment, and facilitate mobility; all with an equitable and proportional distribution of funds among the 31 municipalities.
