SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 25 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Today, Wednesday, the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife received the first visit from the cruise ship ‘Norwegian Dawn’, which arrived with 2,197 passengers and 1,024 crew members on board. On the occasion of this first stopover, it was the top Commercial Manager of the Ports of Tenerife, Luz Marina Espiau, who presented the ship’s captain, Ronny Borg, with the traditional commemorative metope of this first visit.
This vessel from the Norwegian Cruise Line shipping company, consigned in Tenerife by Intercruises, flies the Bahamas flag and is 294 meters long, 32 meters wide and has a volume of 92,250 GT.
Regarding his itinerary, he arrived at around 11:00 a.m. at the South Pier from Lisbon and will depart tonight, at 11:00 p.m., heading to the port of La Luz, in Gran Canaria, as part of an itinerary that will also take him to Arrecife, Agadir , Casablanca, Cádiz, Motril, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca and Valencia.
This morning three cruise ships met in port. the aforementioned ‘Norwegian Dawn’, the ship ‘Seabourn Sojourn’ and the ‘Mein Schiff 1’. The ‘Seabourn Sojourn’, consigned by Hamilton y Cía and flagged in the Bahamas, arrived at 07:00 in the capital of Tenerife from Arrecife. She will leave at night, at 8:00 p.m., towards the port of La Estaca, in El Hierro.
Meanwhile, the ‘Mein Schiff 1’, whose consignee in Tenerife is also Hamilton y Cía, flies the Maltese flag and arrived from Praia to the port of Santa Cruz at 08:00 hours. She will head to the port of San Sebastián de La Gomera at 10:00 p.m.
In the remainder of the month, two more cruise ships will arrive in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. the ‘Azura’, which will dock on October 26 at the port, and the ‘Spitsbergen’, which is scheduled to arrive on October 27.
