The update has been agreed this Tuesday by the General Directorate of Emergencies of the Government of Canary Islands following a request from the Tenerife Cabildo in which it demands that the emergency be declared level 0 given the favorable evolution in the fire area.

The fire has affected the municipalities of Arafo, Güimar, Candelaria, El Rosario, Tacoronte, El Sauzal, La Victoria, La Matanza, Santa Úrsula, La Orotava, Los Realejos and Fasnia.

The fire remains controlled and weather conditions are favorable as there has been an increase in relative humidity and a drop in temperatures after subsiding the heat wave that has been affecting the Canary Islands since last October 1.

Likewise, during the last week the queue of the storm Bernard It has left rain in the emergency areas, explained the General Directorate of Emergencies.
