One of the most notable presentations will be the results of the ‘I Situation Report on Responsible Public Procurement in the Canary Islands’, by the technical advisor of the CPR Observatory in the Canary Islands Samuel García, who will take stock of how Law 9 has been applied /2017 in this matter in the period 2018-2022, after its entry into force in March 2018.

This presentation will be followed by a round table in which the lines that should be followed in the Canary Islands in the field of Responsible Public Procurement will be debated, which will feature the participation of the Common Deputy, Rafael Yanes; the general director of Heritage and Contracting of the Government of the Canary Islands, Juan Domingo Cabrera; the Secretary of the Board of the Public Procurement Advisory Board of the Government of the Canary Islands, Teresa Peiró; and the head of the Contracting Office of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Julia Martín, collects a note from the Anagos Network.

In addition to the presentations and round tables, two workshops have been scheduled in which the keys to effectively introducing special execution conditions in contracting documents will be addressed, led by Javier Mendoza, professor of Economics at the ULL and expert in Responsible Public Procurement and the effective way to participate in public tenders, directed by Juan Carlos García, lawyer specializing in public procurement and partner at the Melián Abogados firm.

This meeting is aimed at public administration personnel, social companies, students, private sector professionals and any person or entity that wishes to deepen compliance with Law 9/2017, on Public Sector Contracts, in its fourth additional provision, which requires reserving part of purchases and contracting for social companies and incorporating social and environmental criteria in public tenders.
