A canoe with 85 men on board, 13 of whom are minorsarrived around two in the morning this Monday at the Tenerife port of The Christianswhere two more vessels are expected to arrive in the near future.
Sources from the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands have reported that the boat that arrived in Tenerife was sighted after midnight, when it was close to the Punta de Rasca area, and has been transferred to the port of Los Cristianos.
The alert from the two vessels whose arrival is expected in the next few hours south of Tenerife was received after 8:00 a.m. this Monday, sources have indicated.
A few hours before the arrival of the canoe that arrived in Tenerife this Monday, another one had arrived in El Hierro with 224 immigrants on board, of which 24 were minors, and not 13 as had been initially stated.
This canoe arrived at the port of La Restinga (El Hierro) accompanied by the Salvamar Adhara.
