SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 21 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Two women were seriously injured this Friday afternoon after a quad bike went off track on a dirt track and fell down a hillside in the Chío area, within the municipality of Guía de Isora (Tenerife).
According to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 112, rescuers from the GES helicopter together with members of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium and the Red Cross Immediate Response Team (ERIE) accessed the area where the two affected.
After providing initial medical attention and immobilizing them, they were rescued and transported on a stretcher to a safe place.
The SUC medical helicopter was waiting there, where its staff assisted and stabilized the first of the rescued women, who was transferred with severe abdominal trauma and chest trauma to the helisurface of the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital.
In addition, the second victim suffered serious multiple trauma, being transferred in a sanitized ambulance from the SUC to the Hospiten Sur University Hospital.
Finally, the Local Police and the Civil Guard collaborated with the deployed device and carried out the corresponding report.
