The National Police, with the collaboration of the Local Police of La Laguna (Tenerife), has arrested the alleged perpetrator of the attack with a knife that took place in the early hours of this Saturday, around 5:40 a.m., in the Plaza Víctor Zurita Soler , a popular nightlife area known as El Cuadrilátero.
According to the City Council, the alleged aggressor fled the scene in the presence of the police and hid inside a nearby building, where he was arrested. The proceedings remain open.
The City Council recalled this Saturday that the Local Police and the National Police have been implementing a joint security device on weekends since September in this nightlife area and in other parts of the municipality.
As for the victim, he was a 24-year-old young man who suffered a moderate stab wound to the chest, for which he was stabilized and transferred in a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) to the Canary Islands University Hospital. .
