Aemet’s prediction for the weekend
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) predicts rain for the weekend, especially on the islands with greater relief, due to the tail of fronts approaching the Peninsula.
This will mean a significant drop in temperatures on both Friday and Saturday. However, a slight rise is expected on Sunday. Likewise, westerly winds are expected, with some strong intervals on Saturday.
The yellow warning (risk) has been activated due to coastal phenomena that, predictably, will affect all the Islands starting on Sunday, October 22, 2023. Given the warning due to strong waves, the Government of the Canary Islands has declared the pre-alert situation to starting at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21.
The height of the waves will reach a maximum of between 4 and 5 meters on Sunday, October 22.
