SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The General Directorate of Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has ended this Tuesday the maximum alert due to the risk of forest fires that affected the islands of El Hierro, La Palma, Tenerife and La Gomera and Gran Canaria, at levels above 400 meters. Tall.
The Executive justifies the measure by the general decrease in temperatures and a progressive increase in humidity, although it specifies that the 12 municipalities of Tenerife affected by the fire last summer are still in an emergency situation.
In fact, the fire has even dropped to Level 1 this Tuesday and the Tenerife Council has extended the forest fire alert on the island until October 29 due to the weather conditions.
